Loved it!! Social distance was on point. Great service..Mask and all the trimmings. Food was excellent as always. Customer service was awesome. Felt right at home. It was my birthday and they made it a day to remember. Loved it!! See you again real soon. Great parking. Even curve side service if you prefer. People friendly..Very neat and clean. Don't believe it. Try it!!

I have been eating with El Fenix since 1959 all over Dallas area & they are a 5 Star Restaurant every time.

Food is always good but the service today was not. I walk in to place a to go order. The guy is on the phone for at least 5 to 7 minutes. Some comes to pay and he continues his conversation on the phone. Two waitresses are talking and they never come to the front to ask if I needed help. Just a bad experience

We were originally going to go to Mia's, but there was an hour wait! So we ended up going here and we were Not disappointed! The service was great and the food was delicious! The salsa was very fresh and the chips were really good! The food came out in a timely manner and the portions are very generous. We will definitely give them another try the next time we are in the Dallas area!

Had great lunchtime. Ordered Special Wednesday Enchilada plate for $ 5.99.Included bowls of tortilla chips and red sauce. The waitress was very nice. Plenty of customers eating lunch. Excellent valuefor the Every Wednesday Enchiladas Special.

Been eating here for over 40 years. Great as always! Recommend the Juarez and the Soft Chicken Tacos. Queso and chips are the best!

Great place. The chips were excellent and the food was good. Their traditional Mexican dishes are delicious and the food is served rather quickly. I do wish that they would give you more guacamole when you order a large guacamole. The staff could be better, but they are not horrible

El fenix has gone do down.since when has the tortia soup have rice in it. The season chicken nachos. Had big chunks of chicken.not seasoned hardly any beans.the margarita taste like lime juice .i couldn't taste any alcohol.i wont be coming back .its not at all like it used to be.

I haven't been to this place and years but when I went back this past week, it was awesome. The margaritas were super sour which is the way that I like them. The food was great. Perfect portions to where you're not over stuffing yourself. This place is a classic and has stayed in business for so many years because of this.

As always the food was good, but this location doesn't seem to follow the same recipe as the other locations. Chimichanga wasn't even deep fried.

Great prices. Lunch with coworkers. Best chips and salsa! I had the Cobb salad. Stick to traditional Mexican food. The salad was ok but I won't order salad next time. Staff is always friendly here. Long lines during lunch so come early!

Great atmosphere with excellent food and drinks. Service was okay, nothing to complain about. Reasonable prices.

El Fenix is always great, but they do a great curbside service in these times of the COVID 19 pandemic. I'll continue supporting them as this dark age continues so they'll still be with us on the other side.

Good lunch special goes until 4 had a pick three for 9 bucks chirps were good and crispy food came out fast and hot I finished it all which I don't normally do. So believe it hit.

Used to be a real Mexican restaurant but over the year's it's become just heat and serve HOT to people.. the chips are the still the old "El Fenix" but salsa is very watered down, it's more tomato sauce than anytjing!

Nothing special, I got taco and enchilada with rice:) but place is cozy and waiters were so nice and attentive!

Excellent service. Don't get the enchiladas, according to one my friends, but I really enjoyed the tacos. Angel, our server was fantastic, prompt, and pleasant. Also he was quite funny. As tourists from Canada, we enjoyed some authentic Mexican food.The scenery was great and free unlimited nachos and salsa were a sweet way of beginning our meal.We asked Angel for some advice on what else we could do in Dallas and he gave us great suggestions.All in all a great experience.

I preordered some lunch for me and went to their curbside pickup spot on time. I texted them my details and they said they would be out shortly but made me wait for 12 mins before finally handing me my order. Really frustrating!

I don't know how to start my comment. This is one of the most famous Tex-Mex food restaurants in the state of Texas. Come visit it is super historical looks like a museum. you can find many photos from the beginning of this great empire until today. but most impressive of all.but the most impressive is not the food, nor the photographs they have in the lobby, but the time that the workers have worked there. MORE THAN 25 YEARS. WTH. no salary on vacation for more than 25 years. and entrepreneurs get richer. that corporation doesn't care about employees. SAAADDDDD.

Make sure you get a server with a personality because our server was a bump on a log. It took like almost 10 minutes to get a second margarita. Food was good.

Local family-owned chain restaurant offering Tex-Mex cuisine in Dallas for over 50 years. The chips are crisp, the food is good and there are lots of choices. Great happy hour offerings. Seating is tables and booths. Cloth napkins! Wait staff is always friendly and attentive. Parking out front.

Had the lunch fajitas and they were delicious. I'm also a huge fan of the chips and one of a kind salsa.

Since the El Fenix in our neighborhood closed my wife and decided to try this one.Very nice. Same menu. Old favorites. Good serivce.

If I could give this restaurant no star I would. Sat on our table for 20 minutes with nobody taking our drinks. We asked the waiter and he said I’ll be right back and took another 5 minutes then gave us an actitud the whole time. I order enchiladas with tomatillo sauce and they where extremely salty I couldn’t even eat them not to mention cold. I think the only thing I like about this restaurant was their chips but the salsa is so nasty. Good to say that we will never be back. Not worth it 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

We had the best server. I didn't catch her name, but she had the kindest and happiest energy. She was very attentive.

As their ads used to say, this IS your grandfather's (or even great-grandfather's) Tex Mex. Chicken enchiladas and a margarita will make any day better, and the service is prompt, accurate, and friendly. Would give six stars if I could!
